Although Kingsfold is a small school, we have a good range of specialist subjects, led by experienced teachers. These include:

  • Art – including painting, sketching, textiles, crafts, clay modelling, etc. Taught throughout the school to GCSE level.
  • Cooking/Baking – taught in Infants & Juniors and as part of our regular activity days in Seniors.
  • Design & Technology
  • Drama - our school productions are legendary and students join in with Choir, Drama and Singing sessions at lunchtimes prior to each production.
  • English – Literature & Language. Taught throughout the school to GCSE level.
  • Enrichment - activity days, outings, clubs and extra-curricular activities add to the formal curriculum.
  • French – taught throughout school to GCSE level.
  • Geography – a yearly Geography overnight trip is one of the highlight’s of the year for the lower Seniors.
  • History – taught throughout the school to GCSE level. A number of students have gone on to study History at degree level.
  • ICT – taught throughout the school. We are an accredited ECDL centre and students (and staff) can study ECDL at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE) and Level 3 (equivalent to A-Level).
  • Mathematics – taught throughout the school to GCSE level. Our Maths GCSE results are consistently excellent.
  • Music – taught throughout the school and an optional extra at GCSE. Individual instrument tuition also taught.
  • PE - taught throughout the school, and as optional extras out of school (Zumba, Circuit Training, etc.)

  • Science – taught throughout the school to GCSE level (dual award).
